Swinging for a Cause: Highlights from the 2025 MCM Brain Injury Foundation Golf Outing

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the scenic Detroit Riverwalk became the backdrop for an unforgettable morning of hope, resilience, and community. The MCM Brain Injury Foundation’s Miles for MCM 5K brought together survivors, families, friends, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who united with one purpose—to make a difference in the lives of traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised nearly $12,000 to help provide financial assistance, resources, and support for individuals navigating life after a traumatic brain injury. It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together for a cause greater than themselves.

Community & Participation

From seasoned runners chasing personal records to families walking side-by-side in support of loved ones, every participant represented hope and resilience. The Detroit Riverwalk provided the perfect setting, with beautiful weather, breathtaking views, and an atmosphere filled with encouragement and compassion.

Whether participants chose to run, walk, push, or roll across the finish line, each step helped raise awareness for the invisible challenges faced by TBI survivors while celebrating the strength of our community.

Sponsors & Support

This event would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners. Their support helped create an incredible experience while allowing us to focus on our mission of providing meaningful assistance to TBI survivors and their families.

Every sponsorship, donation, and volunteer hour played an important role in making this event a success.

The countless photos, conversations, and shared moments captured throughout the morning reflected exactly what the MCM Brain Injury Foundation is all about, connection, compassion, and giving back.

Making an Impact

While the finish line marked the end of the race, it also represented the beginning of new opportunities for TBI survivors.

Funds raised from the event will directly support our mission by helping provide financial assistance for therapy, adaptive equipment, transportation, medical expenses, and other essential resources that empower survivors on their road to recovery.

Every dollar raised brings hope, healing, and greater access to the care survivors deserve.

Special Thanks

To everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, volunteered, or simply helped spread the word, thank you. Your support continues to fuel our mission of turning adversity into advocacy.

The Miles for MCM 5K was more than just a race. It was a celebration of resilience, community, and the unwavering belief that no TBI survivor should face recovery alone.

We can’t wait to see you again next year. Until then, we’ll continue working together to create brighter futures for TBI survivors and their families.
