Recovery is not just about healing the body, but about finding strength in the struggle, hope in the journey, and a purpose in giving back.

Swinging for a Cause: Celebrating the Success of Our 2026 MCM Golf Outing
On Friday, August 21, 2026, the MCM Brain Injury Foundation returned to Tanglewood Golf Club for our second annual Golf Outing—and what an incredible day it was.
Once again, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, friends, families, and supporters came together for a day that was about much more than golf. It was about community, recovery, and continuing our mission to support individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by traumatic brain injury (TBI).
This year’s outing marked another successful chapter for the MCM Brain Injury Foundation, but more importantly, it gave us the opportunity to celebrate something we have been working toward since the Foundation began: awarding our first individual grant.
Our First Grant: Turning Support Into Recovery
One of the most meaningful moments of this year’s outing was announcing that the MCM Brain Injury Foundation had officially awarded its first grant to a TBI survivor.
The grant provided financial assistance for additional intensive neurological physical therapy, giving the recipient greater access to specialized rehabilitation services to continue working toward their recovery goals.
For our Foundation, this moment represented so much more than presenting a grant.
It represented our mission becoming action.
Every golfer who registered, every company that sponsored an event, every person who donated, every volunteer who gave their time, and every supporter who has shared our mission helped make this possible.
When the MCM Brain Injury Foundation was created, our goal was to help bridge the gaps that survivors and their families often encounter throughout the long road of recovery. Rehabilitation after a traumatic brain injury does not simply end when someone leaves the hospital or rehabilitation facility. Recovery can continue for months, years, and sometimes a lifetime.
Being able to provide additional access to intensive neuro physical therapy is exactly the type of impact we hoped this Foundation could make.
And this is only the beginning
A New Addition: Beat the Pro
We also brought something new to the course this year with the addition of Beat the Pro.
Golfers had the opportunity to put their skills to the test, adding some friendly competition and even more excitement to the day. Beat the Pro was a great addition to the outing and gave our golfers another way to have fun, interact, and make memories while supporting an important cause.
We are always looking for ways to continue growing our events, and we loved seeing everyone embrace this year’s newest addition.
Another Incredible Day on the Course
From registration and our morning shotgun start to the final holes of the afternoon, the energy throughout the course reflected exactly what the MCM community is all about.
Golfers enjoyed a full day on the course, food and refreshments along the way, and an opportunity to reconnect during the post-golf celebration and silent auction.
But behind all of the fun was a shared purpose: supporting survivors of traumatic brain injury and their families.
Every registration, sponsorship, auction bid, donation, and contribution helps us continue providing resources and financial assistance to members of the TBI community.
Growing Our Impact
Looking back at our first golf outing and now seeing how much this event has grown is incredibly meaningful.
Last year, we talked about how the funds raised through our events would help provide financial assistance for therapy, medical expenses, transportation, and other essential resources for TBI survivors.
This year, we were able to see that mission come full circle.
We awarded our first grant.
That milestone belongs to our entire MCM community.
It is proof of what can happen when people come together with compassion and a shared commitment to helping others. It is also a reminder of why we continue doing this work.
There are still survivors who need additional therapy. There are families trying to navigate life after a devastating injury. There are caregivers who need support, resources, and encouragement. And there is still so much work to be done to increase awareness and understanding of traumatic brain injury.
Thank You to Our MCM Community
An event like this does not happen without an incredible community behind it.
To our golfers—thank you for showing up, participating, and continuing to support our mission.
To our sponsors and donors—your generosity allows us to turn ideas into action and provide meaningful assistance to survivors.
To our volunteers—thank you for giving your time and energy to make sure the day ran smoothly from beginning to end.
To Tanglewood Golf Club and everyone who helped bring this year’s outing together—thank you for helping us create another memorable event.
And to every survivor, caregiver, family member, and supporter who continues to believe in what the MCM Brain Injury Foundation is building: thank you.
More Than a Golf Outing
The MCM Golf Outing may bring us together for one day, but its impact reaches far beyond the golf course.
This year’s success—and the awarding of our first grant—reminds us exactly why these events matter.
They create community.
They raise awareness.
They provide resources.
And most importantly, they create opportunities for survivors to keep moving forward.
We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished together in 2026, and we are even more excited about what comes next.
One event. One community. One grant. And many more lives still to impact.
Thank you for making the 2026 MCM Brain Injury Foundation Golf Outing a success. We can’t wait to see you back on the course next year.
